OK, I am BACK and hope you enjoyed part 1. After looking over the entrants I got a good chuckle. Why isn’t BangBros or NastyDollars nominated for anything? One of the top 5 companies online not nominated for anything is laughable really. Just with that alone unfortunately makes these awards almost meaningless. No offense to Helmy as man that guy has pulled off an amazing run so far with the Xbiz brand by catching AVN in just under 2 years. But there should be some more quality control on these nominations in terms of who is nominated and who isn’t.

Adult Site Of The Year – FreeOnes.com – Have no clue why paysites, free sites and review sites are all lumped into here as it is hard to compare them really. All I DO know is FreeOnes has MASSIVE traffic and can deliver signups like a monster On a side note, WTF is wantboobs.com and suzevideo.com doing in this list. I hope that was just a funny joke. All the rest are great sites and worthy of being listed.

Live Video Chat of the Year – LiveJasmin – I don’t have intimate knowledge really in this market all I do know is based on the revenue #’s shown on adultwebmasteremopire.com for livejasmin.com they doubled (maybe even tripled) revenue over the past 6-12 months. THAT is impressive. ImLive used to be quite a bit bigger but not sure anymore. As I said to open up, I have no intimate knowledge of the rest of the companies or how well they are doing so really I should’nt even be commenting on this section. NEXT…

Billing (Alternative) – LocalBilling – Not sure how these guys were left off the list. They are doing something HUGE by attempting to tap into the local markets of every country so that they can be billed and money can be made off every type of surfer. IMO they should also be nominated actually for Innovative Product of th year. All the rest listed in this section are old news and no real innovations or change has happened. Only other one worthy of winning IMO is WTS. Still by far the leader in check processing IMO.

Affiliate Program of the Year – Naughty America – By far the best branded online company next to BangBros. They brand their product very well run a quality affiliate program that retains like mad.

Affiliate Network of the Year – PimpRoll – The 500 pound gorilla that very few know how large they are. Dave runs a tight ship and always expanding with new sites, new promos and just running an overall solid product that is always growing.

Well seeing as if XBiz Awards is having their big awards show coming up I figured I might as well toss around my 2 cents on who I think should win each category and WHY. To see their nominations (click here) and see who is up for nomination.

Before I get started though, I think all awards shows are pretty much lame and very biased and a lot of people voting probably only have good knowledge in about 30% of the categories they are voting on. For example I have no idea who should win half the categories (GLBT, Mobile, Novelty, Retailer, etc..) thus I will not comment on those and only comment on ones where I have a solid opinion WITH a reason for it So today I will cover only about 4 or 5 categories, and wrap it up in a day or 2 with 4 or 5 more categories.

Web Host of the Year – ISPRIME – Not sure what the criteria is really for this category. There should be some base criteria. Like voting on growth? service? All hosts have their pros and cons and really unless the voter has hosted at every host out there (in EQUAL capacity, meaning a dedicated server at all) it is hard to compare ones service against anothers when you really have no idea how each one is. Anyway, I go with IsPrime in this category.

Up & Coming Web Company – JuggCash (& BrazBucks) – They are not even listed but by far Brazzer owns the biggest up and coming company. Ask any big Traffic generator and they will tell you his stuff converts AND retains like crazy. It’s a shame he was left off the list. A VERY close second is the HushMoney (HoDough.com) team as they got a GREAT product as well. Kink.com has great products but have been around forever so not sure how they got nominated in this category.

Design Company Of The Year – Dickmans Design – They produce many different styles of designs and rarely stick to a cookie cutter format. Not to mention it is usually very high quality work. I really hope Wyldesites doesn’t win. I love the guys work but his portfolio hasn’t been updated on his site since 2005 and not sure what new work is his. So although he is probably the best designer in adult, with no portfolio or presence in the community I don’t think he should win this year.

Content Provider Of The Year – World Wide Content – Always providing new titles for webmasters to buy DVD rights to. I will be honest in that I don’t buy much content anymore but from the list provided here is my other thoughts. Dean Capture – great photographer but is exclusive with Twistys I think so shouldn’t be nominated here as not really a content provider. SexEntertain – could easily win this as they now took over managing FullOnVideo’s feeds and best of all converted them from quicktime to windows media player format which improved the value of the feeds tremendously IMO. TheContentStore – had a good year but limited amount of titles and a problem by offering rights to titles that were sketchy (details here) so I don’t think he should win. The rest are ok, but didn’t do anything super to deserve winning IMO.

Innovative Product of the Year – NONE – From the list, I didn’t see one product that blew me away this year. If i was to vote I would probably say Fleshlight but not sure it is a new product rather just a new product brought online for webmasters to promote.

I got the email from the guys over at HoDough.com that they are releasing their new program HushMoney.com very soon. They got what looks like 3 sites about to be released: AbominableBlackMan.com, HousewivesNeedCash.com, FreakyFirstTimers.com.

These guys came late to the game in terms of opening an affiliate program but have done VERY VERY well for themselves. It also helps a BUNCH that they i believe were the main producers of a lot of TopBucks content (and still may shoot for them) as TopBucks began to blow up. So they KNOW how to shoot reality very well and pulll off concepts great. They are definitely an up and coming program and as they continue to release top notch sites they will continue to grow. Even though Internext as a whole was a huge dissapointment there was one shining moment, the Domain Auction that took place on the 17th. Looks like there were over 2 MILLION dollars worth of domains sold and from what I heard the room was filled with a “whos who” of the adult internet business. Lots of big players attended and quite a few took part in the action. Some of the notable sales included:

Shemale.com – $520,000 (I believe the owners of PussyCash.com, the owners of the wildly popular ImLive.com cam site.)

BDSM.com -  $295,000 (Rumors are it was AdultFriendFinder.com who was the purchaser of this domain)

InterracialSex.com – $150,000 (Dig420 of FetishBucks.com I believe bought this one. He is heavy into the interracial niche, with his main site DarkCavern.com, so this is definitely an end user purchase. I think he overpaid as interracial.com itself was sold for around $112,000 just a year or so ago and that I believe to be a better domain)

Overall I think it was a huge success. I think a lot of domains went for way too much which is a GREAT sign as it will mean a lot more quality domains will be up for auction at the next one as the owners of the premium domains will a lot more willing to sell at those high prices.
